Portraits for the Soul

About

I am portrait artist with a passion for creating deeply meaningful works that blend personal likeness with the symbolic beauty of botanical birth flowers and celestial landscapes. Each portrait is crafted to celebrate life, personality, and the unique connection we all hold with nature and the cosmos.

My artistic journey began in early 2020, inspired by a lifelong love for art that took root in my childhood in Somerset. After studying Art at A-Level and completing an Art Foundation, I earned a degree in Textiles & Surface Decoration in Buckinghamshire, specializing in floral design for fashion and homeware. Following graduation, I have spent 25 years in luxury sales, marketing and design within the fashion and jewellery industry, which has deepened my appreciation for craftsmanship and storytelling through craftsmanship and design.

In my work, I offer clients the option to weave symbolic, personal touches into their portraits. From botanical birth flowers that evoke each individual’s spirit to celestial elements that capture a sense of wonder, every piece tells a unique story. I also design custom paper stamp seals for each portrait, incorporating initials, zodiac symbols, and birth flowers—adding a layer of personalized detail that’s unique to each commission.

I am also expanding my work into silversmithing, creating bespoke charm necklaces and signet rings inspired by these stamp seals. These wearable pieces offer a beautiful and cohesive extension of the artwork, creating a lasting memento that clients can carry with them.

Whether you’re commissioning a portrait as a personal treasure or a timeless gift, I’m here to bring a vision to life—one that captures essence, beauty, and the stories written in both the stars and the blooms of life.

Testimonials

louba_edited_edited_edited.jpg

"A big thank you to Nik for her lovely words and a fantastic talent, capturing Louba, perfectly. Louba was a very special cat, starting off as a street cat and adopted by a friend who had to leave Dubai, so Louba adopted me and Ron. When the time came for us to also leave Dubai I knew she had to come with us. She is sorely missed by both us. This picture will take pride of place in our home, but I have to wait until I can pick it up and personally thank Nik"
